The Agatti island is the gateway to Lakshadweep islands, a chain of little known islands, lying about 320 Km off the south west coast of India. Agatti Island is at a distance of 459 km (248 nautical miles) from Kochi and is located the west of Kavaratti Island. It lies between 10o 48 and 10o 53 N latitude and 72o 09 and 7o 13 E longitude, having an area of 3.84 sq km, with a maximum length of 10 km and width of km. It has a north-east, south-west trend with a long tail on the south. The lagoon area of this island is 17.50 sq km.
The climate of Agatti is similar to the climatic conditions of Kerala. March to May is the hottest period of the year. The temperature ranges from 25oC to 35oC and humidity ranging from 70 -76 per cent for most of the year. The monsoon period raises temperature to the mercury level between 27- 30 degrees.
In AGATTI coral growths and multicolored coral fishes abound in its lagoons. Fishing is the most important industry of AGATTI which is perhaps the only island besides Minicoy getting surplus fish. Next to Fishing, Coir and Copra are the main industries . AGATTI is the Airport stopover from Cochin and on the way to Bangaram which can be seen on the northern horizon.horizon. Agatti is one of the Lakshadweep islands open to tourism. Visitors, however, are allowed to the Island under certain restrictions. They are required to obtain Entry Permit from the Lakshadweep Administration for entering or visiting the island. Entry Permit is issued based on the visitor having a confirmed place to stay.

On arrival at Agatti airport, our representative will receive and escort you to the Hotel/Tourist home. After the lunch proceed for Agatti island sightseeing which include – Public Library, anthropological museum, South beach, Eastern jetty (ship embarkation and de embarkation point), NIOT sea water desalination Plant, Lagoon beach a sunset point, relax in the creamy sand for a couple of hours and back to Hotel/Guest house around 7PM, dinner will be serve at 8:30.-Overnight stay at Agatti.
Early morning after breakfast proceeds to Bangaram group of Island, beautiful uninhabited islands, Bangaram, Tinnakara, Parali and Parali 2 in a single atoll, lying in the northern side of Agatti. Tour by a private boat from Agatti 45 mints Journey. Trip provides beautiful sandy beaches and swimming with turtles, snorkel in blue shallow water. After Bangaram sightseeing, boat move to Thinnakara and Parali islands, after 3 PM boat move to Agatti Hotel/ Tourist home, relax in room, dinner will be serve at 8:30. Please note movement of boat to Thinnakara depend on high tide and low tide of sea level-Overnight stay at Agatti.
Morning after breakfast proceed to South Beach, nonstop water sports available at the beach, like swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, glass boating, well equipped SCUBA diving center working at beach which offers Snorkeling, Kayaking, Diving, Glass bottom boat ride on payment. Guidance of well experience diving instructor you can enjoy the underwater beauty. Lunch will be serving at beach on request. After 4 PM back to Hotel / Guest House and relax Hotel/Guest house round, relax in room, dinner will be serve at 8:30-Overnight stay at Agatti.
After Morning breakfast proceed to Kalpitti Island, a small islet in the southern tip of Agatti, which offer swimming and turtle watch, The journey by a small boat in shallow water, sightseeing in the island by walk, after sightseeing Kalpitti Island return to Agatti around 13.00 and relax in the room after lunch. after evening tea spend your time at beautiful lagoon beach and watch sunset. over night stay at Agatti.
This is the final day at Agatti, Morning after breakfast proceeds for finishing departure formalities and proceeds to Airport, for return journey to Kochi by Air India. Thank you for your stay and support…

Air India daily operating from Bangalore (departure 06:45 am) to Agatti(Arrival Agatti 10:05am) stop over at Kochi (Departure Kochi 08:45) 1 hrs 15 Min is duration .Fare will be 5500 one way from Kochi and 11000/- for Round way per person.All island trips and water sports is based on climate condition
Entry Permit
Lakshadweep is a remote area and Security Part of Nation is restricted Entry to these Islands ,an Entry permit needs to visit all Lakshadweep Islands. To arrange this forward details and documents mentioned below.
How to get Entry Permit to visit Agatti Island, Lakshadweep.
1. Police Verification Report form concerned station
2. Signed Application Form
3. Details required for Entry Permit
4. 3 recent color Passport size photographs
5. Address photo id card copy
Documents should reach us at least 20 days before departure by courier
Note
1. Husband, wife and children below 18 years can be in one entry permit application form.
2. Guest above 18 years should fill separate entry permit application form.
3. PVR/CVR is required for all Adults above 18 yrs children.
Character Verification Report (CVR) from concerned District Police certificate should contain official email id, and office phone number for confirmation about the issue of the Certificate.
